Firm tannins give the wine more than enough backbone to allow it to drink well for a number of years after release. Layers of spice-infused fruit wrap around the rich, sensual finish. There is little question the 2011 OV is one of the finest wines of the year. A superb showing by any measure, the OV will also best many of the top-tier wines in this vintage. The 2011 OV stands apart from previous editions of this wine in that it is predominantly Cabernet Franc. This is a dazzling effort. Wow!
