| | Qty=11Size=750 ml, ST[95]"The 2011 Pinot Noir Rapley Trail Vineyard is laced with sweet red berries, crushed rose petals, spices and mint. The Rapley Trail is the perfect choice for readers who may find some of the other Fogarty Pinots too savory. Here the emphasis is all on the fruit even thought the Rapley has the highest amount of whole clusters. This shale-rich parcel is planted with Martini clones on AXR rootstock. The tannins are a bit imposing at this stage, but a few more years in bottle should do the trick. Simply put, this is a drop-dead gorgeous wine from Fogarty. With a total production of 122 cases, production is relatively high next to the other single-vineyard wines in this range.
