They are firm wines, without the sweetness and opulence I have noted in vintages such as 1985. They will undoubtedly be long-lived. The attractive, tasty Echezeaux is medium-bodied with fine ripeness, but is a trifle short on the palate for a grand cru from this superbly run domaine.
