 | Qty=3Size=750 ml"Many people in Burgundy believe Serafin is producing the finest wines in Gevrey-Chambertin. He continues to lower his yields, and while he never did much filtering, in 1990 he decided to eliminate it. His 1990s are all concentrated, backward, dense wines that will require some patience. The darkly colored, medium-bodied Gevrey-Chambertin-Fonteny offers a tight but promising nose of spicy oak, ripe black fruits, and minerals. There is excellent concentration, surprisingly crisp acidity for a 1990, and a moderately long, fresh finish. It should be at its best between 1994-2002." - Robert Parker, robertparker.com (Oct 22, 1992) |
