Dusty red cherries, mint, crushed flowers and licorice are some of notes that are woven together in this delicate Amarone. The Giuseppe Quintarelli comes across as a touch forward, with slightly oxidative aromas and flavors from the extended time in barrel. As good as this is, in 2000 I prefer the straight Amarone.
