"The 2019 Grenache Two Become One comes from four vineyards—The Third Twin, Vogelzang, Bien Nacido and Sebastiano. It is blended with 13% Mourvèdre and 11% Syrah, made with 29% whole clusters, and matured for 20 months in 56% new French oak. Opaque ruby-purple in color, it begins with reticent scents of blackberry jam, tar, licorice, lavender and bouquet garni with touches of coffee beans, taking plenty of time to unfold in the glass. The full-bodied palate surprises with its concentrated, dark berry fruit, framed by seamless acidity and finely grained tannins. It gains complexity over time, offering up more layers as it airs, and it finishes with soaring floral perfume, suggesting it could use a few more years in bottle or a long decant to show at its best. 381 cases were made, and it will be sold as a six-bottle set with one bottle of white wine, two bottles of Syrah and three bottles of Grenache ($685). This was bottled in July of 2021 and tasted May 24, 2022." - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com (May 31, 2022)

"The 2019 Syrah Two Become One is just as stunning as its 2018 counterpart but will require a bit more time in bottle to blossom completely. Blended with 3% Mourvèdre and 3% Roussanne, it was made with 25% whole clusters and matured for 20 months in 70% new French oak. Opaque purple-black in color, it opens slowly to blackberry jam aromas with layers of graphite, tar, lavender, charcuterie and bouquet garni. The full-bodied palate's concentrated, floral fruits are addictive, and its weightless, silky texture brings you back to the glass again and again. It has a juicy backbone of acidity and a hauntingly long, layered finish, suggesting it will develop over many years in the cellar. 257 cases were made, and this will be sold as six-bottle sets with one bottle of white wine, two bottles of Syrah and three bottles of Grenache ($685). The 2019 was bottled in July of 2021, and I tasted it on May 24, 2022." - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com (May 31, 2022)

"The 2019 Two Become One White is a blend of 60% Chardonnay and 40% Roussanne from the Sanford & Benedict Vineyard and Cumulus Vineyard. "We are building up to more Chardonnay in this each year," Julia and Nik Krankl explain, noting that there is an abundance of great Chardonnay in California but smaller amounts of great Roussanne—the 2020 vintage will have the largest percentage of Chardonnay yet. It was barrel fermented, underwent full malolactic conversion and matured on its lees for 21 months in 80% new french oak and 20% one- to two-year-old barrels. The nose offers slowly opening white peach and herbal undertones, with nuances of toast and lemon peel. Despite its generous ripeness, the palate balances concentrated, preserved citrus fruit with bright, juicy acidity. As it airs, it takes on deeper, savory bass tones, and it has a long, flavorful finish. Complex yet refreshing, this energetic white drinks wonderfully after a few hours in the decanter but promises to develop in bottle over the next 5 to 7+ years. 128 cases were made; it will be sold as a six-bottle set with one bottle of white wine, two bottles of Syrah and three bottles of Grenache." - Erin Brooks, robertparker.com (May 31, 2022)
